On a sunny afternoon, I explored Kaapad Beach in Kozhikode, where golden sands met the rhythmic waves of the Arabian Sea. The gentle sea breeze carried the scent of salt and history, making the visit even more special. Walking along the shore, I reached the Vasco da Gama Landing Point, a historic site marking the Portuguese explorer’s arrival in 1498. Standing there, I imagined the momentous first interaction between Europe and India. As the sun dipped slightly, the waves shimmered, and fishermen cast their nets, keeping alive the essence of the coastal heritage. It was a perfect blend of history and serenity.
